Agency: Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services
We partner with the State of Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) to provide a comprehensive assessing organization to complete assessments for multiple waiver programs. Through this Statewide Home-and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Assessing Organization, we will be responsible for providing accurate and timely functional assessments to a diverse population. The HCBS waivers and other assessment services administered through Maximus include:
- Brain Injury Waiver Program (BI Waiver)
- Frail Elderly Waiver Program (FE Waiver)
- Physical Disability Waiver Program (PD Waiver)
- Programs of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)
We will also work closely with other entities and state agencies to ensure the transmission of information is managed efficiently to allow for individuals to receive HCBS.
Through the HCBS Waiver Program, Kansas can provide different services that allow those who need care to receive services in their homes or communities. Certain Medicaid program requirements can be waived, allowing the state to provide supports and services for people who might not otherwise be eligible under Medicaid.
